Our mission
Built around service. Grounded in honesty.
What Is My VA Rating? exists to help veterans and their families understand the benefits they may qualify for and navigate the next step.
A military family behind the mission
Founder David Dion is an Air Force veteran. One of his sons is a Navy veteran, and another is serving on active duty. That family connection is the reason this resource exists.
Our purpose is to make useful information easier to find: how ratings combine, what a payment estimate means, where to get accredited help, and which other benefits deserve attention.
Clear information. Honest claims.
We support accurate, evidence-based claims. That means documenting real conditions and their impact without exaggerating them—and without dismissing disabilities that may not be visible. VA determines eligibility; this site helps explain the process.
Free to use, independent of VA
The calculator and guides are free. We are not part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, a law firm, or an accredited claims organization. We do not submit claims or promise a particular outcome.
The long-term plan is to support the resource through advertising and clearly disclosed sponsorships. Google AdSense code is installed to support advertising, subject to Google approval and account settings. Lender referrals are not active. Educational information will remain separate from paid placements.
A resource that can grow
We welcome the possibility of working with qualified, VA-accredited reviewers as the resource develops. Until that review exists, we will not imply that articles carry professional approval. Every guide links to the official information used to prepare it.
